FIVE great moments vs Chelsea that Liverpool fans will never forget

1) Luis Garcia’s ghost goal in the Champions League

How could this not be number one?

The early 2000s saw Liverpool and Chelsea going head to head in the Champions League a few times, but this game is the one that everybody remembers. Garcia’s goal beat Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final, with the ball seemingly not going over the line before being cleared.

The goal took us to Istanbul to face AC Milan in the final, and the rest is history.

Chelsea fans can still be heard making the argument that it never crossed the line, but they tend to forget that if the goal didn’t stand, Petr Cech would have been sent off and Liverpool would have been awarded a penalty. Chelsea got off lightly with that decision.
